Krzysztof Penderecki was an avant-garde Polish composer known in particular for his works Polymorphia, Threnody to the Victims of Hiroshima, and Symphony N0.3. Penderecki was famous for his use of microtonal clusters, glissandi (silding), and quarter note clusters.
